The Barrie Film Festival simply would not be able to grow and expand our diverse offering of film programming without the incredible volunteers we have supporting us.
We are fortunate to have 98 vibrant and dedicated volunteers; for this we are very thankful!
In 2015 we hosted 156 public screenings and special events for a total attendance of 13,661 film lovers. It’s difficult to imagine accomplishing all of that without the help of our volunteers; friends who, to our amazement, never cease to tire in their commitment to the BFF. This is how we are able to bring so many critically acclaimed major and independent films to our city from Canada and around the world.
We asked John Martin, one of our longstanding volunteers what he enjoys most about being a part of the Barrie Film Festival.
“The thing I love most of all is hanging out with other film buffs. People who like different kinds of film, not just the blockbusters. I just love it, the people and the films.”
BFF volunteers are essential to our success!
